ok trivial i know just wanting an opinion on the mounts i made, problem was space to mount them, they hang over the edge of the board not as noticable as in the pic but i wasnt bending over at 6am :p. LOL i cut a few sets as i was bored :p
PS its not lined up its only stuck on with double sided tape to preview it
[image]http://members.getonit.net.au/grim/doors.jpg[/image]

    Well.....

The panel looks fine, it's the size and setup of the speakers that doesn't work. Also, why is the tweeter down there, wouldn't you prefer to mount is it on the dash or the A pillar?CheersPaul

    as weird as this sounds...

ive heard the further away you place the tweeter the better the sound and vice versa.
And thanks guys i thought it looked weird with the speaker overhang but thought it was just me so its back to the drawing board or a smaller speaker once again.

Yes, close tweeter placement can be too

harsh on the ears. To place far away does allow a nicer sound but this can't be blocked as the wave length of a tweeter signal is very small, so it gets absorbed to easily (legs or arms mostly will do this when sitting in the car). Tweeter placement is critical but very subjective to the types of music being played, and the style of tweeter being used. Try using blutac and move them around to give a varied option for placement before building mounts for them.
