Just had a 91 TT delivered that has been sitting for several years.
Tried to pull out the dip stick and it came up about 100mm (4") and stuck.
Tried twisting it around and gained another 25mm or so and then nothing.
Scared to put heaps of force on it in case it snaps.
Engine turns over without any undue noise - such as the end stuck somewhere it shouldn't be - but it obviously is : rolleyes2:
Any idea's that don't involve pulling the engine out?

Do the ol' push it back in twist and pull again.

Also might be worth noting the way the metal dipstick is wound.

If the sump has been removed and replaced with the dipstick in place it can get jammed. Could be the problem.
