hey people i am just wondering what is the difference between a non turbo motor and a twin turbo motor? can i get a non turbo motor and bolt all the turbo stuff on and will it be fine? thanks for any help.
If you are rebuilding with forged pistons then practically the same. If you just want to put turbo stuff on a non turbo motor then that won't live too long. Pistons are higher compression in the NA, other than that not a lot of differences.
ok i dont really wanna spend ova $1000 to get it going again cause im of work for 4 weeks ova xmas and its coming out of my holiday pay and it over heated cause for some reason the radiator cap came of and the temp gauge did not get to hot and i only realised this when i pulled up and the car looked like it was on fire
You need to atleast double that figure mate, even to buy a used unknown engine, fit and get it running, it isnt going to happen for that money. Buy a chap daily, that is the best option for that money.
Both heads will be faulty, you will realise this after a compression test, possibly fused the piston rings to the pistons too. Worse case 50 50 scenario.
the heads would be basically the same wouldnt they? only difference being auto TT having smaller intake cams as for as im aware.
