This is probably a huge ask for everyone, especially noting that we have some serious night owls on here. But I am trying to organise a photo shoot for a magazine of my toys around Melbourne, and the aus300zx club. The only window of opportunity I have Sunday week, very early in the morning. It would be great to have a few 300zx?s Involved. Feel free to bring cameras and alike and I?ll try and take as many passengers as possible.

I have a good friend bringing his camera along to take the photos, but if you think you have a great shot please take it and I'll forward it to them. I would really like some more photos of it on the road, so a few from cars, with other zeds would be great. Over the Westgate maybe? Open for suggestions

The current plan worked out is as follows: so if you can?t get anywhere in time feel free to catch up.

0500 Meet at WestGate Shell Southern side.

0530 Scull coffees and get going.

0535 Photo shots of car over bridge.

0630 Photo shoot under bridge near Science works, and Williamstown to get sunrise in background.

0830 Breakfast at Docks in Williamstown.

1000 Head to Point Gelibrand Car park for official group shot.



1200 We have to head to geelong, and I need to start the studies again. (and the photographer has to go too).

VERY tempted Dave! I have that weekend off, but I have a party the night before, so Im not sure if a very early drive will be best for me...with getting photos in for the mag, do you think there will be time to submit anything from when you bring the beast out for the DECA day? Would love to get my creative finger a workout on your car

I not sure I'll ask. AS for the DECA day I might be a no show. I have started studies again, and I have a just about every assignment due that week. So I am pushing myself to ensure that I can get there.
I too would like to see you work your magic on the car/s I have see your work and am truely impressed.

 

Take off 2.5 hours for me to actually get there ..... thats a 0200 wakeup

Now I have had a couple of PMs from the night owls, about the early start. If you can?t made the crack of dawn stuff, not to worry. We?ll see you at the breakfast or group shot.

BADZX. I have a full house that night with relatives, but is any one able to offer him a bed 0200 start is asking for trouble. Also, I am driving down to Geelong afterwards (relatives again), so it is starting to sound like a cruise.

That is actually the perfect time of day to shoot cars, when the sun is not quite up but the sky is starting to get light. Most commercial car shoots I have been on involved getting on location some time between 2 and 3am to set up :\

I don't think I will be able to make this but depending on your deadline for the shots I might be able to wrangle a studio shot for you if you want it. Sorry I have not been in touch about this for a while, things have been pretty hectic around the studio.

Hey Peter, it is alright as I doubt that I would have been able to make time for the studio shoot. I am really burning the candle at both ends at the moment, and this Sunday is really the only window for a long time.

Noting that this is a good time of the day for photos, and the photographer is a good friend I am sure that who ever turns up we can do a couple of professional shots for you at the same time, I see there are a few who need some better quality avatars and signatures

 

Would love to come down Dave, but since I'll be at the same party that Andrew and Peter will be at, plus have house guests from interstate for the weekend it will be a little hard.

 

That really sucks it would be great to catch up with all three of you. But like I said feel free to come around anytime later in the morning, i've put my number up for that reason.
I am trying to ensure that I can make DECA, but noting that I have only managed to churn out 1000words tonight (of my 25,000 due the week after DECA) I am really starting to doubt I'll make it :bash:

Better get back into it, I have motivation 5000words before Sunday morning! it is enough to :help:
