    Yeah good idea. I have a series 2 PTU installed with the new motor, so I'm not expecting that to be a problem, but I'll definitely switch the coil packs over.

    If no luck with the coil pack, check the connectors on the PTU harness, PTU itself should be OK, but never assume just because it's new.

    How about the ECU harness plug. Is it firmly seated at both ends?

    I did screw it in firm, but didn't push the end in. I thought the screw would just pull everything in. Maybe I'll double check that as well.

    If you overtighten the bolt on the ECU plug, it can cause the connector to banana resulting in poor contact. also use a circuit tester to check the wires to the injector and coil pack, just had to rewire mine and the wires had broken inside the black casing on the plugs, hope this helps

    Thanks dragonback. I've checked the wire are good going through the connector, will have a look at the the ECU plug shortly.
