Can anyone tell me, if the ecu is reading a code 34, does that mean the the sensor is faulty, or that it is detecting detonation? I can't hear any detonation when i'm driving. Also, does this mean that the car is always in saftey boost, or just when it 'detects' detonation.

    Cheers

    code 34....

means that something is wrong with the det sensor or wiring, not that your car is pinging. I'm not sure about this, but I think if you have a constant code 34, the ECU will always put you into safety boost. Anyone confirm this??

    Cheers

    my oath it will

I am in the same boat at the moment. but there is an easy fix for it. There is a tech article for you to put a resistor on the harness for the det sensor. I found it at the twin turbo.net site.

Yeah, I've seen that tech article

but I'm a little reluctant to bypass it as I'd prefer saftey boost over a trashed engine.

    That would suck.
