Is it (the detonation sensor to the ecu) a single dual core wire? outside wrapped with wire then a plastic inside with more wire in that? I'm trying to do the det sensor bypass and the a55 hole before me only had one wire connected to the plug and it need two obviously, i guess the next step is to go to the ecu. pins 25 and 26 need to be bridged yeah? BTW it's not pinging... i'll rip apart the car one weekend and fit it properly --------- Anyone with conzult on the western side of Melbourne they might be able to give me a hand with, id really like to see if the car is completely ok... 6 pack will be awaiting i guess. --------- With the led conversion's were you still able to dim the inside lights? --------- Oh and thank you all for your help about the boost controller, i understand it now and will be fitting it tomorrow after i guess the proper plugs and hose extenders, yada yada yada Cheers - Chris P.S please dont flame me for this stuff, we all need to learn and the search button is not always the best answer
its one wire. and then another wire on the outside which will be the ground. just bypass it from the plug as per tech. the side of the plug from the ecu side. simple wire and in the middle a 1000ohm resistor. done yes you can still dim the dash lights as per normal
yeah i did the resistor trick... didnt seem to fix it, so i guess the wires are futher down i must do it too. One more question in regards to the manual boost controller would it be ok to use a plastic extender? or should i get brass?
for my ebc install I used brass conectors and plastic ones from the actuator coz the place ran out lol There are plastic fatcory plastic connectors through out the engine bay so you shold be fine with eather.
