hey Lads just wondering if there is a maximum time that you have to get your car off defect once you get the yellow canary.

a friend of mine has a supra and has been on defect well over a year...i was told you cant register a defected car...so he thinks another 6 months till its back on the road...is there a limit to the defect before a car has to be fully checked over and A RWC given.

im in SA but any help is appreciated...

    and yeah i told him hes a knob...blody 2jwankers.

7 days and then it is un-registered until the canary

is removed. That is what it is here in VIC anyhow. My friend had his canary on for about a year, got it off then had to re-register it. To get the defect off i think you have to get a RWC regardless of the defect.

Can you believe the cops here? my mate got a yellow sticker put on the OUTSIDE of his car while it was parked on the nature strip. It was some time ago, i think he got it removed from another officer after complaining though.
