It is on again..... Here is the information that turned up in my inbox from the NDSOC.

After a fabulous day was had by all at last year's DECA day, we figured we needed to do it again!

We are heading back to DECA in Shepparton on Sunday August 23rd, 2009

Like last year, there will be different courses on the skidpan, a timed section on the back track, and of course the VB challenge to see who will be the champion of the day. This will be run in conjunction with the FPV & XR Owners Club of Victoria.

The day will be run under AASA, so you will need either a AASA or CAMS licence to compete. You only need a helmet if you plan to take part in the timed section on the back track.

Entries will soon be available to club members for 3 weeks. After this, it will be open to all other clubs.

We are hoping to keep the costs the same as last year.

If you want to enter, have any questions regarding licences, requirements or want to help out, please email Karyn - president@ndsoc.com.au. Once entries are available, they will be emailed straight to you.

So who is going to enter?????

I'll tell Jake. I am most probably in for this, need to sort out a few small issues and then get the car tuned. Hopefully I don't stuff up like last time

Definitely your turn to win this time.

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

I really want to do this.
Either RZ2 has to be fixed and run in after the Nationals disaster, or I will have to keep the Magna and re-enter that.
Third option if the Z isn't ready and the Magna has gone is to enter the XR6; but relative to the Magna, in an event like this, it would be a slug. Last years results proved that with the Magna beating XR8's and XR6T's let alone a standard XR6.

I think I'll get the Z fixed - post to come later.

got a few pms from others about joining in but not being apart of a club. so i emailed karyn and this is her response...

so pretty much like last year. we just wait untill they open it up to others but she has allocated some spots for us. so as long as it doesnt 100% fill up then she will let me know when we can join... otherwise if u want to reserve a spot early then join ndsc or so.

for all the non ndsoc members, Karyn has emailed me an entry form and payment details. send me a pm with your email address and i'll forward it on to you, but don't send anything in until wednesday, when the entries open up to non-members.
price is $60 which you can direct debit into the account or you can go to the NDSOC meeting this wednesday (01/07) and pay in person.
Also she said that helmets are required on backtrack and skidpan events for drivers and passengers and hinted that they might be wetting down the skidpan...

just bring the commodore. it's not a sports car, but you could probably still manage to cheat your way to victory again... ;)

As far as I'm aware there is no cut off date. They will sell entries until there are no places left. As of tomorrow entries will be open to non-club members so who knows how long there will be spots left.
