Price is $181 each rotor..so $362 for the pair :)

I will need to research freight options tomorrow and update the post, as this will be a consideration for those unable to pick up.

I am regularly all over the place with work  so hopefully I will be able to sort central places for different areas to collect from.

Maybe other states could do similar too?? organise your own group and have one lot sent maybe...

    Cheers,
    Caz.. :)

I have had my Zed almost 2 years, done 73,000km's in that time....have gone

through 2 sets of front rotors,3-4 lots front pads..and have only just had the rears machined and replaced the pads.(glazed them up at the recent track day)
Our brake bias is such that rears just dont wear out anywhere near like the fronts.
Maybe someone else can advise you on how important it is to upgrade your rears??

As for the being in Qld bit, Im looking into getting someone to drop

off all Qld orders at a central place, for you to collect.Ill see how I go.;);)

Yikes Caz .... I agree about the rears, but

2 sets of front rotors in 73,000km? Is there a heavy bias towards hard driving or track days? Were these stock rotors you ate up?

I've had my Z for 140,000km and replaced the stock rotors after I'd had it for about 50,000km with EBC units. These are a long way from needing to be replaced, but I will be upgrading to GTR rotors at some point - hence the query on DBA4000's for the R33 GTR.

My car is showing about 199,000 on the clock - in reality it's probably closer to 250,000 and I reckon it's still got the original rear rotors on. I've certainly never replaced them, and in fact in the time I've had the car, have only put in 1 set of rear pads compared with 4 sets for the front, and a 5th set going in next weekend. The rear brakes don't get worked all that hard, agreed!!!

Ate my stock fronts and a set of DBA's. New set of DBA's going on soon.

Bias towards hard driving and track /drag? Well....yeah:p I guess so. My last DBA's started their life with 4000+km of Franz and I terrorising every fun road between here and the far end of the Great Ocean road...repeatedly:thumbsup: When I think about it she has had some mad fun driving ;) hey, 1TurboStillFun...:cool:hehehe
Price is coming for the GTR discs Mikey!

OK, doesnt seem much interest in these. Its looking like ACT/NSW

only for this one due to freight costs.I will be ordering this week so any takers let me know asap. I included ACT, as I will most likely be at their tech day on the 26th Nov. Its the DBA(not RDA which are MUCH cheaper brand)4000 series slotted, kangaroo paw, wiper slot 6x6, front rotors that are a direct fit replacement for stock rotors. $181ea is the 10 buy price, if we dont get 10 they will be $191ea.
    Cheers,
    Caz...:)

    What about GTR caz?

With reference to GTR rotors ...

Caz, we are still researching our options here, and given that the 4 people I know of who will be going down this path are all in Vic/SA, and don't need them urgently, we are probably best off doing this at our own pace. Thanks for the benchmark price of $210, that gives us a target to aim for. At this stage DBA4000 are looking like my personal choice, but others may have concerns about their rate of wear.

    Cheers, Mikey.

Hey Mikey, thats fine.. I actually changed my mind on going the R33 upgrade

Think I'll wait and do full big brake kit when my driving and car warrants it. For now the 4000 slotted with JP's kevlar pads and dot5 fluid performed very well at the last track day and my rotors were thin! so with new rotors she will be even better. Cheers, Caz :)
