Can someone give me a heads up on what I might be doing wrong when I try to fit these, the shift boot does not seem to line up with holes and I cannot get it to sit low enough, has anyone got a pic of a properly installed set I could look at.
I have the cpz boot, fitted it no probs. If you have a short shift like me, it may look a little long, but it fitted fine every where else.
I got mine from these guys. http://www.redlinegoods.com/shiftboot.htm Fits well and is available in a range of heights, colors etc.
i'm a bit confused you've posted a black shifter knob with red stitching but the original thread was about the boots of the shifter and the handbrake btw, i do like that shifter knob, where did you get it from? czp?
yep! cpz red stitched nob. yes the boot is black sticthed, I keep forgetting coz didn't have the red stitched boot when i ordered, so i just took the black.
I just fitted this trio package to mine. I found the hand brake boot most difficult but most of that was in deciphering exactly how it goes on, maybe I should have looked better at the old one before I took it off Anyhow, it does fit well and rather easily when it is done right. As for the shifter boot I found the hole at the top could have been a little larger but just hold it down as much as you can when you screw the knob on. Just love the aroma of leather when it's all said and done:biggrin:
Yes they are kevlar response 6.5 splits and what fantastic speakers they were to, for the money they can not be beaten. Changed em out for kappa 6.1.
damn it!, i didn't know the Red sticthed leather CZP boots were longer! I have a NISMO short shifter nob which looks abit silly cause the stock boot is too short. Anyone want to trade new black stitched OEM boots for CZP red stiched ones? mine havent made it onto the car as yet
heres mine. gear boot $40 gear knob $30 both SAAS from autobarn...fit and look great. just installed them yesterday.
na....it has bolts holding it on.....but the boot keeps em tight so they cant move... ps. im not that keen on red stitching either.
they do? i got ripped off then....oh well....its good quality, i would recommend them to anyone. very good if your gearboot has had its day....mine wasnt too bad, but it was red and stood out like a sore thumb.
