Have many people made their own custom exhausts? I was thinking of making myself one next year when i get a welder. You can buy stainless tube and mandrel bend from this place

We did something similar for the University racecar a few years ago and it turned out great. Essentially we bought a heap of 90 degree bends and cut them to make any angle we wanted. Any thoughts?

    red32 You talkin' to me?

That's exactly how Protek in Melbourne built mine up... from cut up 90deg angles. Coat of paint (mild steel, not s/s) and you couldn't see any of the joins

Can see them now, though. Time for some anti-rust and a repaint.
Downside of the custom exhaust is that they are generally one piece from the cats-back ie. all-welded, no flanges.
If you want to use flanges for convenience, you will probably need to make up a jig to keep everything aligned.
