Many heartfelt thanks to the 12 members(and passengers)who came together to make this special event an enormous success. Doug was able to make the huge effort to join this cruise, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute(although I know it took a huge toll on him). You people should be proud of yourselves for your part in this great day. Cheers Lloyd & Lynn
Enjoyed it thoroughly (And the long trip back home!) Nice to see more new zeds too! ZOE NZX300's aus spec was an insane pleasure to see in real life - it was mint, even the bloody mudguard flaps were shiny! Anyone got pictures of the day? My phone died for the second time (died on the first cruise) so no pictures from me !. Cheers Greg.
I am glad that Doug enjoyed himself so much. It was clear that he was in pain but the joy of criuseing with fellow Zedders helped him through. I for one am very pleased to have been a part of this!
It was a great drive and even better to be able to make someones day. even if it meant being stuck behind an L plater
Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of this. Dad was thrilled to go cruising with you and to enjoy your wonderful company. You are a great bunch of people and we will be ever grateful. Dad (and Des and I) had a fantastic day! Here are a few pics from the day... Rolling up (vid) First stop - the lookout Second stop - the pub A happy Dugster A highlight of the day

What a day...!! A varied age group of Zedsters and all genuine great people. The young guys in particular were a pleasure to meet (for me, the first time!) and all enjoyed a top day. 'Twas my first cruise in a while, and the car didn't let me down... boiled itself to a standstill just as we reached the lookout after a long climb uphill behind a hesitant learner! Ahh, the joys of Zedding! A quick kick up the exhaust end (to remind it where it was and that this was a joint cruise for an exceptional cause!) and a bit of a drink under the bonnet and it behaved for the rest of the day!! Had the distinct pleasure of The Dugster's Delightful Daughter, Katrina, as my passenger on the return trip and it was easy to see why Doug is so highly thought of by those who know him well... Doug, you have raised a very beautiful person of whom you can be immensely proud and I salute you!! Great trip, People... thoroughly enjoyed it!
The drive was nice, but the best was to see Dugster enjoy himself with a dozen zedders Meeting ar Eastern Creek At the lookout mikemd boiling water for everybodys coffee and tea (my bike had red on the left handle and green on the right when I was a kid) Parked at the pub in Lapstone After Lunch ]

What a great day. This was our first ZX cruise, well organised by Lloyd, what a pleasure it was to meet Dougs daughter Katrina and husband Des, Lloyd and Lynne, and the other zedders. Our thoughts are with Doug today with his ongoing treatment. Sorry we missed the group photo, will be in the next one! I won the age test with Mike!!! Noel & Jann
To me, this event typifies the fabulous, caring group of people you (we) all are! Onya Dugster for getting out there and making the best of life, in spite of the circumstances. Luv Ya's All!
Agreed - this was my first Z cruise with all of you, and wat a pleasure it was. Was great to meet doug and family..... great to see everyone pull together to help a fellow Zedder!! I've got a few pics that i'll upload asap. Thanks!
Thanks Lloyd for the organising of the cruise and meeting up with Doug and his family,it was good to see you all again and some new faces,Mary and i had a great day,and a credit to you Lioyd for all the work you have done with making this a special Day for Doug and his family, PS the car got wet on our way home when it rained on my car again (every cruise),Lloyd i am sure you even organised that ,not happy, wheels off and clean again:thumbup: Cheers Joe
Was great to see Mary and your good self again Joe. Thanks for helping to make Doug's day out a memorable experience for everyone. P.S. The rain was difficult to arrange, but seeing your car in it's usual state of disrepair, inspired me to extreme measures(hence the pics of me kneeling in silent prayer).:zlove::zlove:
OK... so even tho' now the bloody thing's all wet and probably ruined, I'll still keep to my offer of $5grand for that heap of redness. If the wheels are really dirty I might reduce my offer just a bit...!! (Cheque's in the mail, Joe!!)
Top day Was good that Doug was well enough to be able to join the cruise up the mountains. Good to see some old faces and meet some new ones. Big well done to Chili for organising.:bow2: Only took three pics.
Once again I wish to express my heartfelt thanks for the cruise. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I would also like to thank each and every one of you that took part as well. It meant a great deal to me and I think Des and Katrina had a good time as well. The generosity of the members of the club is something you all should be be very proud of. What an outstanding group of people you all are. Thanks again. Doug Yager
