does anyone know if there are any particular difficulties with installing cruise control on a non cruise control Z ?, does it require a new ecu? or is it simply running the cable from the throttle arm tto the cruise control unit then running the wiring to the controls in the steering wheel and putting the new pod in?
    cheers

    CC install

Search should/may find a few long threads on this, as I looked at this myself a while ago, and those threads had what you are looking for - from memory - for an absolutely standard looking setup-

1] you will need to add some wiring, as it was posted up that cruise control wiring was present in non-cruise control cars, but only in either the engine bay OR the interior, I forget which.

2] You will need to add the CC computer module

3] install a CC steering wheel

4] PROBABLY change the Steering wheel boss to a CC one

5] change the pod cluster to a cc one

6] install switches under the clutch, brake and acc pedals

7] install the motor + cable in the engine bay

ohh:rolleyes: - and just assume that I included some simple-minded abuse :bash: for not finding the threads through search [ even if they can't be found anymore and you did search:) ] - because I am just so over the usual abuse on this forum that even I can't get up enough interest to flame:cool: :D  .
