When i brought my 300zx i could tell the front bumper had been poorly patched up all over with paint peeling off and scrapes all over it.

And now im starting to lose bigger flakes of paint daily :(

So can anyone give me a ball park figure on what it would cost to get this repaired?

    Get another front bar.....

With all the work involved in stripping back dodgey paint and doing any repairs that may be needed, you would be better off buying a "good condition" front bar and having that painted to match your car.

The added advantage is that you can do all this without taking your zed off the road, and you never know your luck...... you might be able to find a front bar the same colour as yours and that will save you TIME and MONEY

    ok, thanks.

Where would be the best place to find a "good condition" bumper?

ebay or somewhere on this forum?

You should be able to pick one up locally.....

There is ALWAYS lots of zed wrecks being parted out in Victoria by forum members.

It appears that Victorians just CAN'T DRIVE

it might be hard to get one significantly better than yours . you can get special glue to stick them back togeather with it , i just repaired my bar with it the other day works great

, its a 2 part glue but it comes out one nossle , pretty sure you will only find it at proper paint shops .
remember you have to cut out any cracks as a v so the glue has more area to stick to

    or

Stillen lip spoilers...just the bottom half that's broken. That way you could try and get a paint mix that's similar to your car and attach it, and look badass at the same time. Win.

Not sure where you'd find them. I googled for it and found them at...

    http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/stillen-front-lip-spoiler-gtz-nissan-300zx-tt-9096-p-12509.html

    and

    http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/stillen-front-lip-spoiler-gtz-nissan-300zx-na-9096-p-12507.html

For $228 US each. But I suppose freight won't be nice...

CZP have a few of the turbo ones for $183 or so (http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/items.php?Car_Type=300&car_cat=Aero&CA=25&UID=2010020800194559.154.26.35) and a few nice Kaminari ones as well (like this! http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...4&Car_Type=300&UID=2010020800194559.154.26.35) that are a lot more.

I guess my point is... they probably won't be that cheap, but if you want to retain the stock bar look but beef it up, they aren't that common and can look pretty cool.
