Coolant leak, not sure where?

My zed has been running nicely for the last 2 months thanks to AdelaideZcar. But lately I have been hearing a hissing sound coming from under the hood, I realised I must have a coolant leak somewhere. So today when I took my brother to the shops, he was walking back into the car and saw a crap load of coolant just dripping under the car.

I took the car home and by the time I got home the temp sensor was 3/4 high, was only 5 minute drive, and found coolant sprayed all over the passenger side throttle body intake hose. I dont know where the leak is coming from though, it was night time and didnt get to have a good look. Does anyone know where it might be leaking if there is coolant all over the passenger side throttle body intake hose.

check the upper rad hose maybe? would be an obvious leak though, the fan could be spraying it onto the throttle body?

Loose radiator cap maybe ?.bend the little tabs tighter slightly.

Underside or top side of the intake hose? or just all over?

If all radiator hoses are a-ok, then next stop is the heater hoses that run under the plenum. This is a plenum off job.

well I got the coolant leak fixed from a some small mechanic shop near my house. But when i got my zed back from them it felt like it was running worse than before I took it to them with the coolant leak. It feels like its misfiring again, and there is slow response again and doesnt accelerate as smoothly as it did before I took it to them.

I dont know if they did anything wrong or not, although all they said they did was remove top bypass hosing, replace 2 bypass hoses, replace radiator cap, and replace 4 pulley studs.

Likely to be injector connectors if they removed the plenum to get to the hoses, always corrode, and likely making a poor connection once moved. Look in the tech section for articles on cleaning them and give it a go.

I just played around with the PTU wires and injector connecters and that seemed to make it run better again for now. Im surprised how easily these wires can make the zed run like crap.

sounds like time for a plenum pull and a series 2 PTU mate :)

Clean all electrical component pins, apply a liberal amount of dialectic grease before reassembly. Replace all 10 injector-type connectors too.

I already have a S2 PTU so it might just be my injector connectors.
