Hey Z brothers and sisters, a little help if anyone has experience with conZult please. I have the cable from czp and software and driver to run but upon connection I just get a dialogue box with an error message. (conZult opens but when I click on any setup buttons it spits a "computer says no" at me) hard to find info on this. any pointers appreciated

    cheese, Russ

Have you tried turning it off and on again? (Seriously, lots of drivers need a restart before they work properly)

Also, check the potentiometer on the ECU (little screw/dial on the side) is wound fully anti-clockwise, shouldn't take any force to move just check it's at the end of it's travel.

a couple of things spring to mind, first is the port number (depending on cable I believe) but if it uses a usb-serial adapter it needs to have the port configured, to do this you need to open devicemanger and find what port the cable is using then open settings in consult (cant remember exactly which tab this is under either - its been 4 years or so since I did this) and make sure its looking on the correct port.

2nd potential issue is the version of windows you are using, IIRC generically nothing newer than XP works without going into some sort of emulation mode or using a virtual machine (please someone tell me I am wrong and this is not the case) I still use my circa 2004 P4 celeron 2.0ghz laptop running XP so again no direct experience.

Pull the temp sensor off while the car is running and the fan should turn on if not there is a problem.
