Just got my consult cable.. Great..

I got it to work.. Great..

Now I used Ecutalk

What should all the base line readings be ????

Its all well and good to have a bunch of number, but what SHOULD they be reading..

(Tech currently offline)

here's a something i posted elsewhere, quick and dirty. conzult pdf would probably be more accurate/explain it more.

generally:
tps: around 0.5->4.x volts, closed->open

aac/iacv: 30-40 at idle/warm?

inj pulsewidth: dependant on load

afm: dependant on load, but ~1v idle, and < 5v at max load (if its getting close to 5, time to upgrade - typically only issue for turbo cars)

battery voltage: 12v-14v (~14 when running, 8-10 when cranking)

timing: varies, but generally should be BTDC (not negative BTDC or position ATDC depending on how its shown). for a given RPM, lower load = higher timing. for a given load, higher RPM = higher timing.

o2: should vary a few times per second from close to 0v to close to 1v. (eg 0.1 up to 0.9v and back). if its 0v constant its probably not plugged in/wire cut. if its 0.3v or there abouts constant, its dead and time to replace

speed: depends how fast your car is going

rpm: depends how fast your engine is turning!

exhaust temp voltage: nearly always 5v - dont think anyones ever seen this change. it might change when your exhaust temp warning light goes on the dash, if anyone wants to test it out
