Hi All, Connectors have been sent out but 99% of them are still missing weather seals... I've had communication problems with the Japanese supplier so I've organised some seals with an Aussie company instead. I'll have another update on Monday with an ETA on the weather seals. Cheers, Tom
Hey there just wondering how long until the weather seals are posted to us cause i'm pretty sure you cant put the individual connectors on the wires without the weather seals being put on before hand. Thanks Marcus
I was going to ask the same thing, you can't install everything then just put the seals on later can you? I would imagine they need to threaded on the wire before you start pinning the plugs. Ben
I'm pretty sure your right Ben, cause when I did my injector connectors it's exactly the same setup. The weather seals have to go on before you solder the terminals on or no deal. And what are those yellow and orange brackets for? Are they to hold the wires in place while your soldering them? Cheers Marcus
Hi Guys, Weather seals are getting posted out this week, I sent them without because I've had many people asking me to send now, worry about the weather seals later, etc, etc. The seals are required to go on before crimping/soldering the terminals. As for the extra clips, they plug in from the inside of the connector and hold the pins in place. It's quite straight forward and makes the pins easy so remove without breaking! Cheers, Tom
They've all been posted out... people should have been receiving them by now I would imagine.... maybe tomorrow? They were sent out via regular mail in a DL sized envelope. Arrived in Friday's post. Glad I opened the envelope inside the house and not out in the driveway. All is good - found them all. Just my 2c - maybe allow for putting in mini plastic zip bags before posting. Tom, thanks for organising.
