Myself getting a flat tyre care of a puncture in the middle of the day, and another Zed that was stranded in the carpark at the meet/greet because the starter motor wiring became dislodged by a rogue plastic bag on the trip to the pan.

I have some video, and 571CKY has some stills, can't wait to see them

There can never be pleasure without some pain in a Z

Azza was pushing it that hard that even with the AC on full blast he was dripping with sweat after wrestling his car around the track for those few laps...

Wow, best hundred bucks i've ever spent! fun fun fun!

Thanks heaps Al, you put on an awesome show. And you did some fantastic sliding around the track. I really wanted to have a drive with Aza but we were paired up to be on at the same time.

571CKY you did some fantastic smooth sliding there mate, pretty tricky shifting work and hand brake action but it works!
MagicMike had the track pretty much nailed by the end. bugger all spinouts.
Driftspec you did great. Fate's old car is running nicely and is great to see.
HeavyTrev, what can i say, Maddest driver award goes to you mate. Very entertaining to see you on the road! Ainsley I think we'll have to get on the track a bit more, it looks like you were having too much fun spinning around

Well my car has never seen so much dirt in it's life. I'll have to spit 'n' polish her up again now. Had lots of fun and luckily that noise nazi pissed off nice and early so i could get back on the track and scream around for the rest of the day!

was a great day

scared sam a lil on my first run and i was only just warming up hehe
rest of the runs were alot more fun tried harder and harder and wider and wider, was a laugh havin r33k in the car with me eggin me on. good to catch up with everyone also, thanks to al for organising the day, i now look forward to next weekend for the public sprints may even give a practice drift night a go one day also took heaps of pics ill get em up in the next day or so.

 

thanks again goes to al for organising another fun filled afternoon. it was a fitting send off for my zed :zlove:. it has actually made me have second thoughts about buying an awd for my next car

I agree Benny_C, i'll definitely need more practice at it, but i guess not bad for a girl driver. I had lots of fun, even if it was going in circles, not sure if i actually got it to drift tho?? only pexzed can tell us with the video.

Got a bit nervous when pexy got in, made me feel like i was doing a driving test hey, lol but it was all good and i tried out a few things as i was guided thru. Ta pexzed :biggrin:

Looking forward to having another go at it. I spose now everyone will be out tomoro washing their babies lol (I got 2 to wash). It was great to see some new faces too, and we look forward to catching up again at Baz's chardy pardy!!

Thanks all for coming out and making it such a great day. Both Mia and I had a blast. It was good to see everybody getting in and having a crack. Quite a few of us were getting the hang of it by the end.

I was glad to take you for a spin Benny, almost had the whole back section slid together there.

Drift whore lived up to its name saving Greg after he had his flat. Nothing like the throttle response of a manual hey Pex? She slid valiantly and the only damage was a busted rose joint on my right rear upper. Bloody ridges in the cement made a mess of it.

Ains and Mia it was good to "get the girls out" so to speak.

Bring on the pics and the vids!!!

All in all it was a great day and I'm totally buggered!

Pex should have some good in car vid footage lol, i think he captured a lap there where i didn't 360 lol.
I didn't get to drift the full circuit either fluffed it up on the last corner.

Sticky had some smooth driftin style going on :zlove:
and Aza should mabee rethink his circuit racing? U look like a natural drifter, love ur aggressive style mate

Good to see Fates old ride in action Good on Ya drift spec u have really amazed us all on how quick u had the car up and running, not to shabby drifting either did u manage to grab 3rd? hehe

Benny has the award for the slipperiest rear tires award (what brand are they ?)Nankangs?

I was great to catch up with some people that I haven't seen in over a year and a half (like Benny for instance). As well as to meet new people and to have heaps of fun with the great people here...

I look forward to making the next one - zed or no zed I want to go out on the pan again.

So does anyone have a 300ZX that they want to sell that has the following?:

Oh yeah, and I have to be able to use it for work everyday - so I have to be able to fit a full size server in it, as well as lots of other computer gear, I have to drive and park it in the city, I have to leave it on the street at night. Oh yeah and and some of our customers have terrible driveways (my lancer didn't have mud on the side of it for no reason - nearly got bogged and nearly broke the suspension as well).
Hence why I'm torn...

Oh well - it's a love/hate relationship. I love Zeds and hate that I don't have one anymore... :zlove:

Had a great time and enjoyed watching everyone as much as driving
After a few runs I learnt how my car behaves and managed to link up a few corners and even stuck it through the long ones.

Benny, AZA and Trev, you guys are animals loved it.

First thing I did when I got home was wash the car. Talk about gettin down and dirty. Good, not so clean, fun haha.
