Oh. That sucks! I don't really have any decent lighting here either. Do u live in queenbeyan? Coz it says you live in bendigo?
Yeah mate I live in both areas I work in Queanbeyan for 5 days, then I have 5 off and I mostly head back to Bendigo. (Way nicer place)
In addition to this, when cranking the engine, always hold the throttle wide open. This matters a lot. Plenty newcomers dont and wonder why their readings make little sense or are miles below what everyone else says they get and then unnecessarily panic about it! L8r E
Ok so I'm gunna get my self a compression tester. Does it matter what brand I get? And would I be right in guessing i should get one with a threaded fitting on the end instead of one with a rubber tip? Also, if the test should be done at operating temp, how do I do this without sustaining third degree burns?
dont buy anything CHEAP or overtly Chinese. most of the chinese ones in red plastic boxes are RUBBISH so dont risk that. I had a customer nearly trash an engine cause his crap compression tester told him it was rooted. When it wasnt. this is a good one that isnt too expensve. http://www.onlinetoolshop.com.au/product-info/70218-Cylinder-Compression-Tester/411
