    Important Notice: Crimp Contacts

    Hi Guys,

I've had a forum member ask me where are the terminals that plug into the coilpack connector. This discussion was let's say... 'heated' and has me concerned.

The main reason behind replacing coilpack connectors is due to the fact that the plastic clip is prone to breaking causing the coilpack connector to move around. If the coilpack connector moves up too far it can break the connection between the connector pins (also know as crimp contacts) and the coilpack itself. When this happens, the 'spark signal' sent from the PTU to the coilpack doesn't get through and the fuel is not ignited in the cylinder... causing the car to 'miss'.

As pictured in the first post in the thread, I advertised the six coilpack connectors for $47.50 delivered. I did not advertise that connector pins would be included in this group buy.

I have posted a guide in this thread written by Ash from twinturbo.net that states how to remove the old (broken) connector and replace it with the new connector. Coilpack connectors pins are NOT prone to corrosion like the injector connectors are and in all of the Z32s (NA, TT's, JSPECS & AUSSIE), I am yet to see any coilpack connector pins that require replacing.

On the other hand, I am happy to supply the crimp contacts (connector pins) to any zedder at cost price, but I do ask they pay the shipping costs involved from the supplier.

If anyone would like to order or discuss this further, please don't hesitate to PM or email me.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Terminals

    Tom,

I for one was suprised by the ommision of the terminals from the connectors supplied.

I have re-read the original group buy advertisement and it does not say "connectors excluding terminals" or anything similar.

Possibly something of this type was included in a previous post, but I only read the group buy thread.

Since you have refered to a heated discussion, I know I am not the only member disapointed with the delivery.

I think you need to accept responcibility in this instance. As a business you must clearly describe the goods being offered for sale.

Please post up cost of terminals for these connectors ASAP.

    Andrew

    Thanks for your comments Andrew,

I will be sure to state exactly what is included 'in the box' next time.

The coilpack group buy kind of followed on from the series II ptu group buy where i stated '2x connectors, 13x pins, 13x weather seals, etc, etc' and I assumed that by stating 6x Connectors that everyone would know that it wasn't 6x Connectors and 18x pins.

As for accepting responsibility for the confusion, I have already stated that I'm happy offer a refund or organise the pins at cost price. This group buy was run with zero profit and in no way have I tried to deceive anyone.

I will get an accurate price on the connector pins tomorrow.

    Regards,

    Tom
