hey all i did a ECU error check just then and its showing code 13 CTS circuit, anyways i have cleaned and tensioned the connector for it and still it wont go away, i recently pulled the CTS plug to test if my thermo fan was working, is there a way to wipe error codes without consult (ie: number of ignition starts, pull batt etc) any help would be great.
PS: i only found this out because i was making a earthing kit and i disturbed the IAC connector and then had to go and clean all my connectors coz they were all a bit dirty... My zed is idleing at 750-800 rpm so it all appears to be running good just the error code.

pretty sure if you dont have a datascan or ECU talk the only way is to disconnect the battery for about 1 hour to clear it - if i am wrong someone please correct me :)

    Paperclip or Ecu......

Paper clip or Ecu, should have been your question.

If he had checked the fault code with a pc he would be able to clear the code with the same pc.

yeah i use the paper clip trick, so what you think unplug the batt over night.. if not is there someone in Sydney that has consult and a laptop that would like to come over and help a fellow zedder out:D

use your paperclip to clear codes.

Did not know you could clear the fault codes with a paper clip, only to start the diagnostic mode?

after you display codes, short the connector again to clear codes and go back to warning lights, short a 3rd time and you'll see code 55 (if you fixed the problem).. it's in the service manual.

get a hold of consult to see if the CTS is dead. disconnected CTS, at least on a sr20de ecu i have here, results in the ECU simulating warmup going from 20-80C slowly.

if ur sure wiring is fine (do continuity test from ecu harness to sensor) and ground is fine, then time to fork out for a new one
