    Hello,

Is there anyone around the Melbourne- gippsland region that has a working gauge cluster I could use to see if my speedo will start working?

When I took my 89' non turbo into a mechanic to read the ECU the code he got was 55, but his information didn't have a listing for that code, does anyone know what it means?

The clusters, while they look the same, are not a one type suits all variety.
Defective speedos are quite common, if you use the search function, there is plenty of information available.

As mentioned, a code 55 is good & what everyone hopes to see when checking the ECU for logged codes.
Obviously your mechanic has very little, if any knowledge concerning Z32's, which may work out expensive for you in the long run.
Not much point checking for codes if you don't know what they mean.
