I've had a code 35 (bad det sensor) for ages now, but haven't been too worried about it as stock boost is fine for what I do. Tried to clear it with Consult but it persisted. Had the car in to Paramount Automotive in Toowoomba the other day, and they cleared it with their diagnostic software, and it hasn't returned. Anyone have any ideas on this?

    Code 35 or 34?

I'm sure you mean the latter. Did Paramount install a resistor(?) or find wiring fault?

Yep, meant 34, Rob. No, they didn't install anything. Terry from Paramount said that sometimes the det sensor records such a big knock that it maxs out and for some reason doesn't reset easily. Dunno. I'm heading to Brisbane tomorrow and will run Datascan on the way down.

Sounds like an intermittent fault... for now stop into Dick Smith

and stick a 1meg Ohm resistor between the female pins on the ECU side of the det sensor connection.

Fault still there on startup for the Brissie run this morning.

    Bugger.
