QLD Centenary Rocks! Carfest: Sunday 23 July 2017

Location: Rocks Riverside Park, Brisbane West QLD 4073.

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm (note that cars cannot leave until approx. 3pm, details below).

Cost: $10 (proceeds go back to local community projects, see Facebook page for more info).

Open to: All makes and models of cars, 4WDs and bikes, road or track vehicles, driven or on a trailer OK.

After 15 years, 2017 has been announced as the final Centenary Rocks! Festival. The festival runs over the Saturday and Sunday, with the Carfest on Sunday. There are trophies offered in several categories (see the pinned post showing last year's trophy winners), with several relevant to the 300ZX, including BEST IMPORT, BEST MODIFIED, BEST 1970-1999, plus several others.

As cars enter and exit using a road/path shared with pedestrians, there is a window of opportunity for entry (around 8am-9:30am) and cars cannot leave until there's clearance from security which will occur soon after the trophies are presented. So you have to plan to be there from 9am-3/4pm. Vehicles coming on a trailer need to be there at 8am and notified prior so room is provided for trailer parking (there's already 3 rally cars confirmed arriving on trailers).

We are welcome to display our forum banner (but no pegs on the main oval area), if we want to park together it's advised to arrive together - so we might plan to meet prior nearby about 8:30am.

The whole day time-frame and prior RSVP commitment may be restrictive for some, but I'd really like to see a 300ZX presence at the final Carfest - plus it's a great event with food, stalls, shows, music - heaps of things going on for everyone.
