UAS have quality bars if you're prepaired to pay a bit more. You may have to wait 8 weeks for it after being promised 2-3 weeks delivered followed by a trail of excuses! Other than that, I'm real happy with. :D

Carmate is by far the worst car shop in the world.. all their part are from china, never fit and the workers lie alot.

ie i bought parts fot my cuzns s2000 and i rag them up making sure they had... drove 40 mins to get their then they tell me 1 of the parts are broken... i ask to have a look and then they bring out an S15 part and say they labeled it wrong... then they told me that in japan an s2000 is called something else.. cant remeber then name they told me..i checked on the net to see wat shit they were talking and that model was a van.

id stay as far away s possible, and theyre really tight on their price, they wont bargain much if at all.... pretty expensive3 for chinese fibreglass.

I got a front bar from carmate. Bomex. Minimal fabrication needed. Fits good. Looks great. Always will need to fabricate a frontbar somewhat, but sheesh if I could do it, anyone can do it as im a noob. Ive heard mixed emotions from carmate, but from my 1 experience with them, thumbs up.

    Go Concept Z Performance

Go http://conceptzperformance.com . . . For my car's major makeover I ordered a Stillen body kit from Coz, but the rear bar came from a trusted Australian supplier (for insurance claim reasons). The stuff from Coz arrived within one week, unfortunately we are still waiting on the Australian supplier (who at least has quality bars). So much for trying to spend locally. The smash repairer is very happy with the quality of the Coz supplied body kit. The only issue with Coz is the AUS-USA exchange rate.

As for Carmate, I did a fair amount of forums searching as they were one of the few places in Australia that could supply the required body kit components. Many of the forums (and not just this one) had many users not happy with the quality and service of Carmate.

    Check this out http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/pricelist_300zxstyling.htm

The carmate TS is a copy of the UAS FRONT BAR FOR NISSAN 300ZX with no speed holes. The carmate ST is the same bar with speed holes. You're going to get better quality and fitment with the original UAS product (which in turn is a modified Greddy design that has been raised and the overhang reduced for better clearance).

Website prices are usually discounted for forum members, if you're in Sydney (your profile says NSW) drop in and see what kind of deal you can score [

DO NO BUY FROM THEM. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I have bought 2 front bars for different cars both needed MAJOR modification to even be close to fitting right. They even sent the wrong bar for the second car and would only exchange it if we shipped it back at our expence. Very poor quality product with horrible support.

    Put quite simply

Yes, I have one and NO DON'T GO THERE.:(
Like you I thought yeah right, how bad could it be. The one on show was tops.
Then when I got mine home and gave it to a friend to fit (a panelbeater)
    That's when the problems started.
It doesn't fit correctly, is very poorly made, the glass had small holes in it.
    DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
    Cheers

OEM front bars are urethane which is much easier to manipulate than fibreglass. Unfortunately moulds cost many thousands of dollars which is why most aftermarket bars (even high end) are fibreglass. It all comes down to volume.

Icer is correct all fibreglass body parts require some sanding etc to get fitment perfect, some require more work than others.

My bar went straight on. No reshaping or any bull shit. Fitted, primed and painted. I'd like to bet that you paid a fortune to have yours fitted since you failed so miserably at the rear. You really need to pipe down boy, you don't know the first thing about anything you post about. :bash:

No Rob260, not all, some. It's a roll of the dice type thing. Might get lucky and get a mould which fits perfect. If the job is done right, not rushed and pulled from the mould prematurely, it will fit.

Stay safe, stay away. Carmate is not your friend.

Thanks Guys I won't be buying from Carmate.

Hi Guys Thanks you for your reply's and after talking to a famly friend who is in the fibreglass game he said exactly what 9 out of 10 of you guys had said about them. So I will NOT be buying a bar from them and after going into there store I was not impressed with how they were not helpful and showed no sign of wanting too. Thanks again. Cheers Mark.
