Hi every one and merry christmas :)
This is my first group buy so i will do my best to get everything right and smooth ;)
I have found a american company that manufactures only carbon fibre drive shafts the company looks very respectable but i will do more background check to conferm that thery are as good as they say they are (will keep you posted) here are some of the benifets of using a carbon fibre drive shaft !

    Faster acceleration
    Quicker down shift deceleration
    Smoother shifting
    Less wear on drivetrain
    Less stress on transmission
    Greater safety
    Longer life
    Faster 60 foot times
    More torque to wheels
    Less vibrations

It has all these benifets becouse its alot lighter then the 2 piece steel drive shaft and its even lighter then the aluminium ones also !
I have contacted the company and i got a price for 1 drive shaft for a total of$1600 that includes freight to australia but im sure i can work something out specialy if we buy more than one so if any one is intrested please let me know so i can get a total number on how many are intrested so i can work out a deal with this company if you have any questions please let me know and i will do my best to answer ! I know its chistmas now and people are alwayz short on money like me :D i will give this some time for people to deside and gather the money becouse its a fair bit so i wont do anything until every one is ready to go ahead ! merry christmas every one and happy zeding :zlove:

seconded. would like weight reduction vs stock @ the very least. i'm going single piece soon and the single piece CF from S&S is more than twice the price of a steel single piece

The drive shaft weights about 4kg! stock drive shaft is the very least double if not more ! i will try to find out exacly what the weight is and about the price i will do my best to get them as low as posible hopefuly lower then :) $1350 then what street to strip sells them for if there's price is correct ? becouse i just found out street to strip did a group buy and his price was $1450+ or something! i will do my best and will keep you posted guys :zlove:

A 2+2 stock 2-piece weighs 14.5 Kg. A steel one piece weighs approx 9.3Kg and costs around AUS$500.(1/3rd the cost of a carbon fibre one piece). I seriously doubt several of the claims of improved performance/less wear, as most of those claimed improvements would be so insignificent as to be un-measureable IMHO.

Still cheaper than the original price. Also, you might need to update the website. It says "FROM - AUD$1,156.00 plus AUD$200.00 shipping to your door!"

Though I suppose there is that big FROM there. So, what sort of CF shaft is $1156? And was that $200 Australia wide delivery?

    ....you are....

....quite correct:) The website IS out of date and is being updated for 2007:)
....the price quoted at$1156.00 was for a Mazda RX7:) The 300ZX shafts are dearer than the RX7's . :) Freight prices have changed too.:) All the prices shown on my website are RRP's with some discount.:)

....HOWEVER all the prices quoted to Forum members are lower than for anyone else.:)

.....for example I just quoted a Zedder (non forum member) AUD$1600.00 to his door, for a Shaft which is normally (now) AUD$1,750.00:) You guys are still getting the best deal.:) ;)
