hey guys i need some help!! every time i go to start my car i get this little light that looks like a box with like heatwaves coming off it.. the car wont even crank over so any info would be good thanks!
That is your catalytic converter overheat light. You definitely have a flat battery, and possibly also a faulty alternator.
If your alternator is no good your battery will go flat pretty quickly too. Anything happen at all when you try to start? Rapid ticking sound?
its a new battery and it doesnt make the ticking sound like when the batterys flat so im stumped its probs the alternator
If the battery is new and in good nick, then it could be a sticky starter solenoid, or dead starter. But the cat light is weird. Any error codes?
yeh last time i checked the alternators fine so it just might be a error code well hoping anyways haha
Error code or a dead alt wont stop the car starting. Error code will just tell you were to look. Car will start with the alt removed as long as the batt is good.
Problem solved the right o2 sensors dead and the o2 plug came out put back in runs fine thansk for the info guys
