This morning I tried starting the car and nothing. It was winding over but just wouldn't take.
Have you guy's got any ideas?
P.S. I can smell alot of fuel.

Maybe check and clean your ptu terminals or

replace with a known good one to check. Is it a series 1 or 2 ptu, do you have conzult or datascan?

have you ever had trouble starting it before?

I'd have my doubts that a ptu would just "fail" in a cold engine bay.

You may have just fouled the plugs.

    Never had problems before

Tow truck is on its way, getting it towed to AMEC. Emmanuel told me that it may be the PTU also. Just have to wait and see, will let you know.

Could be starter motor, to fix starter motor you use the trademens code.

If it doesnt work hit it with a hammer

If it still doesnt work get a bigger hammer

please note that if a hammer cannot be found here is a list of other useful items

    Block of 2x4
    Crowbar
    Broom handle
    Shovel
    Block of 4x4

I had a similar problem, it was because i had flooded the engine with fuel the last few times i had started the car and as a result there wz too muh fuel in there 2 start her up...to get around it, i kept my foot on the accelerated pedal pushing it to the floor and kept the key turned all the way so that it kept winding trying to start, and like 15secs later "BANG" and she started over, had to drive it around for 30mins to get the excess fuel completely burnt off...give that a shot mate...

    kind regards,

    Reggie

    Egg ....

    Seconded.

Always clean the CTS terminals if wont start... happened to me twice and both times it was the coolant temp sensor.

    possibly

when i first got my car, it had numerous different starting problems and vaccumn leaks etc, but once all that was sorted it was still difficult to start it sounded like it was turning over fine, but in fact it wasn't, it had a weak battery and in the end it just wouldn't start, i replaced the battery and haven't had a problem since
    cheers

Thank's for your support Baz but,

The truth is that he has had that nic on the old forum first where as I used kolin but to be clearer I have had the plates ZORRO since before I first joined the original forum, however I could not use ZORRO then because it was already taken. If any one should change it probably should be me, so let me know if the general consensus thinks I should change it back. Sorry for the confusion, kolin

    Thanks Zorro

Yes I did have that name in the old forum Black Baz, I have no problem with Zorro and he has no problem with my name (Zorrrrrro) so the name stays and now back to the main topic my coolant temp sensor was faulty flooding the engine. They changed the sensor and all is good.

    Cheers
