hey guys im currently at marees and gavs.. had the tech day yesterday and did a motor change.. trying to complete this car but i can not get it to start .. wants to but i think the timing might be out ..... if anyone knows how to fix or help try to solve my problem let me know cause it would be much appreciated or even a computer diagonists would be handy ......... weve connected all wiring and hoses .... put in new spark plugs ..... got all dash light power n power n fuel to the motor but still not starting only clicking over .... sounds like it wants to start but wont ...... need help urgent if you can help or even reply with info ..... thnx kindly page
So the engine is turning over? Or just clicking? Did u check the earths on the back of the plenum? If they were left off, it'll fry the PTU and u'll get no spark. If this is the case, reconnect the earths and get a new ptu. Are your injectors firing? Tried turning the crank by hand and listening for them clicking one by one? Are you sure the fuel lines are around the right way? I'd bet on this one...
Any more backround info on the car and engine? So this was a replacement engine from a reputable workshop? Guaranteed running? Assuming the zed it was going into was fine before the need for a new engine?
