    Hey all...

Have an annoying problem with the Z...seems to be intermittent and I think it may be a fuel related issue...

The car seems to have an intermittent problem when I leave it sitting for more than a few days where it will go fine for a bit then when I rev over 3000rpm it seems to spit and backfire...ran in to a big issue today where it flat out stopped on me and wouldn't start...was running low on fuel so ran across the road and put some fuel in it and still wouldnt start...sat on the phone with the NRMA for 40 minutes trying to get someone to come out to no evail...ended up getting it started....stumbled through the rev range before driving home fine....any ideas to the issue? I'm a bit lost...

It would be worth checking all the electrical connectors under bonnet especially the injector connectors. When i bought my Zed i was told the motor needed replacing. The main sympton was it would idle great but as soon as i drove it and hit around 3000k it would backfire and stop. I had to let it sit for nearly an hour then it would start fine. Turned out being corroded injector connectors. Replaced them and it runs fine for 3 years.
    Hope thats all yours is.
    Cheers Dave
