I have been going all day on this car alarm and c/locking, but i cann't work out the blinkers. Are they neg switched? I any one where to tap into the blinkers that would be a big help. Thanks Andrew
Flasher Unit I have recently cleared rear lights and after asking for advise on replacing Flasher Unit .. due to Amber LEDS in indicator lights .. A forum member hot300zx .. gave me this link http://www.brightlightautoparts.com/...CF12GL-022.pdf told me to lie on the floor with head on pedals and look up to find the flasher (can) relay. ... I couldn't get a correct replacement (for my needs) so I had to wire up and invert the 49 / 31 wires and then solder in a buzzer .. but thats not your deal .. BUT this may help .... hope so! good luck Coolum
blinkers can be found in the loom under the steering wheel that comes from the indicator switch. Turn the indicator on and using a earthed test light ,probe into the wires. The indicator wires will have power on them when the indicator light is on (test light will blink with the indicator). You will obviously need indicate in both directions to find each wire. Out of memory, but dont quote me they are green with some color trace ie G/B, G/Y, G/W. They will need a positive pulse from the alarm to make the blinkers work. Hope that helps
Yep- Green Black for LHS and Green Yellow for RHS. Take the horn assembly off, then the steering wheel, then the column shroud. You'll find a 3 wire loom (on the top of the column assembly near the wheel from memory). Splice into the Green Black for LHS and Green Yellow for RHS (from memory). They will be negatively switched (the alarm will send an earth pulse to trigger)
Done!! What a good memory. Thanks guys i spent a long time looking for them, i was trying to use the flasher but didn't work. So i went out and found the wires you guy said and found them in straight away. Thanks Again Andrew:biggrin:
