Ok I got this weird problem with my lovely lady z... The idle stays sometimes always around 2 and does not come down and it does not matter if i have my clutch down or have it in neutral... so me and pete been trying to figure out the little problem and it is not a vacuum leak so we came to a conclusion that it may have something to do with electronics that controls the inflow which is the small piece that's located just behind the engine... What do u guys recommend? Or does anybody know what it could be... I always get fuel from FREEDOME fuels (98 ALWAYS and ONLY) and my car is regulary serviced and very good parts have been installed...

any recommendations or comments are welcome

I'll be going to see pete in 2-3 weeks for new rotors and BH breaks and was hoping to get that fixed at the same time.

Thanks guys, I'll try both of those things... Weird thing is that it Idled today at 2 again than drops down to 0.7-0.8 and than 1.3 and it's just confusing me

if you have a look at the tech i quoted that unit has that little black shaft in it. its like a little piston that rapidly goes up and down which affects the idle with the screw positioned...if the piston is getting stuck because of gunk etc then you can get this problem...

might not be ur problem, but sounds like a good one to tick off the list...

    Check all your hoses........

for splits, loose clamps etc as an air leak somewhere can also cause an erratic or chasing idle??........even better get someone to perform a 'boost leak' test.......I know you have a NA......but by blowing pressurised air through the system you will soon find any leaks!
