I repaired 2 by following this method. Quite easy once you source the bits from RS Components or a TV Repair shop.

Looks easy to repair.. Mostly analog components except for 2x IC's..

I would suspect Mosfets/Power Regs/Elec Caps/Transistors.. Check for burnt/lifted tracks while your there.

Most electronic modules can be repaired. It just depends on your familiarity with electronics, access to spares and tools and how much effort and time you want to invest in it.

If you have access to a power supply, cro and a sig gen you can fix a lot of car modules.:zlove:

    Cathode Ray Oscilloscope.
Allows you to "see" the electronic signals.

    Sig Gen
    Signal Generator
Allows you to put your own signals in so you can "see" them with your CRO. ;) Oh, and it also allows you to "exercise" the circuitry to allow fault finding.

Thanks fella's, this all came about due to a cutting out issue I had. Looked at fuel side of things and did the bypass etc to rule it out.

My FPCU is fine, even thou I didnt have any dark areas due to bad solder joints I resoldered the suspect points anyway.

As it turned out my issue was a loose coil pack relay.
