Can anyone tell me the stock clearance height of the Zed?? I'm looking at shipping mine to Sydney and everyone is saying they need 150mm clearance, I have adjustable coilovers but don't know if I'll be able to get enuff out of them (car is on stands at the moment, so can't test it out).

    Cheers

thats a negative there Kalus, mine is on stock suspension, admitedly sagged and my clearance is 90mm admittedly to an aftermarket cat, but still stock height from memory is abour 117 for j spec and a bit more for aussie, may be able to get 150mm out of the coilovers but questionable, and would you want it looking like that ewwww, 150mm is way too much for a zed

My car is on coilovers, I bought it interstate and had to raise the ride height to 100mm register it in Tas. The rears are as high as they go and the fronts are pretty close and it is only just over 100mm. So no sorry, I doubt you'll get it to 150mm.

    Height

Mine are to the curve of the skirt not including the lip down.front at the door joint to front guard One zed 125mm its sagged and 140mm at the rear,
the other zed 150mm front 150mm rear, the skirt to body lip 15mm to 20mm, so you could say 130mm all round hope that helps, Measurements taken after a nip of Remy Martin just now.Hope that helps Kyne.:zlove:

    Thanks for that....

It's only so I can get it on and off the truck without doing any damage. As I said most carriers are specifying at least a 150mm clearance, which I think is ridiculous. I'll have a go and see how high I can get it, and may just have to use some blocks to get it on and off.

I have shipped low cars before

but I had to shop around. Most recently (about 8 months ago) I shipped my260Z from Melbourne to Brisbane. The main stream carriers didn't want to touch it because it has about 80mm clearance.

The official line was that it must be able to drive over an upright drink can.
Eventually used Speedy Car Carriers who used a tilt tray to pick it up and delivered right to my home on a low trailer type carrier with long ramps. No problem, no damage.

Cost around $875 but was hassle-free.

"Let you figers do the walking" - ring around and avoid the big carriers.

    Cheers.
