I have the 90 TT Auto. On the driver's side, there is a long hose which looks the same as the boost hose. This is the dilema, One side of it is connected to the drivers side front metal intake just under the boost hose in the front of the car. The other side, where should it go?? Mine is pluged by having a screw in it. Is this normal? I had a look at the manual and I think it appears to be venting as it looks like it has a hooked pipe at the end of it. Can anyone with an auto confirm what this hose does and if it should be hooked up to anything, perhaps the manifold. The passenger side one is hooked up to the intake manifold about 3/4 back on the passenger side. Thanks Peter

I dealt with mine last weekend Same deal... a boost hose with a screw shoved down the end of it. These are your factory boost hoses. I noticed that you have a boost controller hooked up so this will now be in place of where this hose was meant to be. It still needs to be blocked up though. So instead of having about 400mm of hose dangling around in my engine bay I just cut it back to about 30mm.
Thanks guys, yep I have a different balance tube one which is missing the boost hose connector on the driver's side. The one currently on the car is not the original. I had it replaced. This may explain why I cannot boost to 15pounds(8mm boost jests installed). This problem coincides with the time I had it replaced. I can only just make it to 12 and could never figure out why. I checked the hoses and cannot find any leaks anywhere. Does anyone know of which model my current balance pipe is from? The one with no boost hose connector on the driver's side. - I suspect N/A Thanks Peter
