not too much difference between them

    262/9.3
    264/9.5

    either will be good

    I'd go 400+ and add 9:1 comp ;)

i thought that but i don't want to go through the trouble of specially machining the head for metal head gaskets, although will STD head gaskets put up with around 400 Kw??

i would recommend going with metal head gaskets so you can set the compression ratio where you need it.

well i wouldn't mind keeping stock compression if i can

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

stock compression, then OEM gaskets should be fine then for 400rwkw.

    What about 500Kw :D

your mods list won't see any where near 500rwkw, so no use worrying about that :p

400rwkw will be pushing it based on what you have listed. Don't worry about 500wkw.

    OEM gaskets are pretty good.

If you must go MLS get Tomei. They're not cheap, and the mating surfaces will have to be prepped which again is more $$.

Don't bother with oversize valves and stick with R4 if you want to keep it coming on boost early.

R5+ or the new z1 cams that are out, they provide max lift with a useable and daily friendly idle... why not. im running big jun items and there pretty low end friendly ... its the top end that scares the sh*t out of ya when you add big hair dryers

r4 isnt that much of a difference over stock

i recommend getting the block surface done anyway, i get quite a few blocks through especially 89 and 90's where the drivers side deck is not milled at the same angle as the passenger side.

This can be the cause of pesky lower intake manifold leaks that non OEM gaskets have been blamed for in the past

So what sort of power am I heading for with
    Jwt R4+ cams
    heads ported
    Double valve springs
    1mm oversized valves
    88mm wisco pistons
    Eagle rods
    740cc injectors twin feed
Gt2860r/rs ( not to sure of the difference) dico potato turbos w/0.64 A/R

28R I would say 330-350rwkw, 28RS you can crack the 400rwkw. I think 28R's would be more than enough for a street car, though some people do get bored with them and step up to something larger.

so what is the difference between the two??

28RS has larger internals (CHRA), both turbo's are physicaly the same size though the latter obviously has a bit more lag.

thats correct between the 2560 and 2860 but he asked about GT2860r/rs

GT2860R is a disco potatoe with a gt2560r comp housing for 2 bolt stock intakes
GT28RS has the 3" inlet like mine

all the GT28RS kits for Z32'S are GT2860R

    so
    gt2560 smallest physical size
    GT2860r bigger physical size with 0.64 A/R
    GT2860rs same size as 2860, 0.64A/R and 3" inlet
anything else??, so there the same turbo with different inlet, yeah??

HUH what? Isn't GT28R/2560 the same thing... S15 turbo pretty much, correct? GT28RS/2860 the same as the GT28R with a larger CHRA? The same turbos that come in Coz' GT600 and GT675 turbo kit.

These other turbo's with 3" inlet, where do you get them from? Would only be a benefit if all your itake pipes a 3" correct?
