Dosen't look to bad for the money :)
only thing is the drivers side sill is damaged .
other than that for 6ish its pretty good.
Service history? 100k done ?penlum pull done?
Spose for that money it shouldn't matter.

not a common colour either :)

    Regards

    looks ok

Panel gaps look ok from the pics.

The cam cover has an original 100k service sticker on it.
There is some non-stock wiring in the engine bay running past the power steering reservoir.

Get it checked out by somebody who knows the zeds. PZP or a volunteer from the forum.

There's a lot more to a car than pictures taken at night, a sticker and some extra wires.

    mech check

A mechanical check will be worthwhile and could save you from major disappointment. The 300zx are fairly complex even the NA's I havent found a mechanic that likes to even consider working on them (apart from UAS).

But at 6k price and NA I don't think you could loose a lot on it.

I guess the extra wires are for an alarm which may be mounted up front, which would be good.

Just be aware that a bright yellow car might get some heckles

Thanks for the help, like i said im not that mech minded, but i did a search on "willphiz"'s posts and there was mention of him wanting an alarm..

About the mech check... could someone tell me a good one and how much it will cost???

iv already decided i'l want to respray it haha, but probly just a deeper yellow, maybe an amber/yellow colour... or if not that. A silver/black

    hukie90 300TTorrr?

dont get a respray till u fix every other little problem, but usually about $75-85 to get a road worthy check and just a general check for leaks and rust and wat not.

odo is 176 XXX i think

but when you figure that out. thats 9500 kms per year.... wich is only 26 kms per day....

Does anyone think its genuine??? lol

He bought it off a lady that wanted it for the "sporty look" haha
I like that its stock so i can tastefully mod it. :zlove:

Looks like a good buy... While getting it checked get a compression test also..

  13. red32

    red32 You talkin' to me?

For $6K you can't go too far wrong, even if it needs a bit of work. Another $5-6K should see it quite 'shcmick' if spent on mechanicals . . . first thing would be a 100K km service if it hasn't been done recently.
It's an import (J-spec) and almost every import has had the odometer wound back, so don't believe the reading. Look to the wear-and-tear inside . . . wear on the steering wheel, gear-knob, foot-pedals, hand-brake handle and bolster wear on the drivers seat.
And one of the first things I would do to it is to put the wheels on the correct side of the car . . . the pics of the RHS show two LHS wheels mounted and the LHS pics show RHS wheels fitted. (check the rims for the L or R markings). If the tyres are directional, you will also need to get them changed to the correct wheels.

I originally payed 3.5k for mine.. TT.. spent 3 grand on compliance and 12 months rego and bang it was on the street... had the major services done, spent a bit on some wheels, fixing up the interior and never had any big problems... the car is now owned by another forum member.. you can't go wrong for 3.5k :p

get at least the following checks done. if the buyer says no then walk away:

    - engine compression test
    - coolant system pressure test
    - head gasket test
    - check for ECU error codes
    - suspension inspection

Congrats... i thought ud given up on the Zed idea coz of parents (or am i confusing you with someone else?)

    Anyway congrats

Get PZP to do a check for sure, or even an RAC check

BUT..... for $6K..... so long as thats not your TOTAL budget, keep in mind that if something is wrong... happy zedding is only an engine swap away

$6K is hell cheep, so the change, so long as the trim and body, shocks etc are all good... the change is your backup

Still get it checked coz you want to go into this with your eyes wide open.
