Ok well the chassis number didn't actually work, I need the model number as well to maybe get a full list of information. However I do have a backup spreadsheet with chassis number ranges and I can see your chassis number is in the middle of Jan and Feb 1992
Here's how to breakdown the VIN. C - Turbo If there was a G in front of the C it would designate a 2+2. Because there is no G, it's a 2.0 seater. Z32 - Model Series (300ZX) 505453 - Individual vehicle number - this is the number that will identify when it was built. As mentioned built in January 1992. Then there's the Model Number: KRZ32JSHZE6 K: Indicates a Targa Roof R: Designates the engine VG30DE Z32: Once again is the Model Series (300ZX) If the letter G were here, once again it would designate a 2+2. Because there is no G, it's a 2.0 seater. J: Is the Trim Specification which is Standard Trim If there was a A here, it would designate an Automatic Transmission. Because there is no A, it's a Manual Transmission. S: Indicates it's a Twin Turbo H: Indicates it is equipped with HICAS & ABS. Z: Means it is a "Cold District Specification" Not sure what this means exactly. It is possible it may of been fitted with Winter Tyres &/or a different viscosity engine oil, cooling system coolant etc. due to exposure to freezing conditions. E6: Is for a Power Seat.
Had to click 'view original' from clicking on your link without the img bit stuck to it and use the address from that page. Also the / in the closing tag was in the wrong spot, goes before the letters although I'm guessing you did that while editing to get it to work.
Hi, That is great info. Would you be able to confirm the build date of our car CZ32-540365 Model # KRZ32JASHE7 . What does E7 indicate? driver & passenger power seats? Cheers, Steve
Hi Steve, The build date on your Z is May 1993 The E7 indicates it is equipped with a power seat & ASCD (cruise control)
I'd need your VIN to decode the E7 on your vehicle. E7 can mean different things. It is dependant on when the vehicle was manufactured & also the type of transmission fitted.
I've tried a couple of times to correct your post but the link doesn't seem to work. Did you generate an embed link via onedrive? Instructions HERE
Thanks all. In the process of getting a r.w.c this week to get club plates.. Just wanted to be sure it was 25 years old before doing the r.w.c . Happy times ahead. I will take it out for a spin to get the r.w.c then wrap her back up. At least now the rego will be reasonable considering I will not be driving it. Once again thanks Dave
