Can't believe my luck. Get to my car on a Friday night after work to find some scrub had broken into my car.

They tried to start the car by forcing the ignition but because I have an immobiliser that didn't work. Next step, try to disable it by destroying the interior panels to gain access to it.

Now its difficult to start the car using the key in the ignition and I have a scratched and busted interior.

This was attempted during the day in a car park that is occasionally patrolled by security. Do these crooks have any fear?

I've read some of the stories here where some members have had their car stolen so I am lucky I still have the car (thank you immobiliser) but it's still not a nice feeling to have someone vandalise your car.

you gotta understand, the law is soft on this kinda thing. if you get busted run away. security wont chase you down. the po po may chase you. you will get let off with a slap on the wrist.
the offender walks down the road, trys again on another car.

    I know what you mean.
You'd think they would have a police officer stationed 24/7 alongside EVERY parked car(just in case)wouldn't you?
Hang on, they will need 3 Cops per car, per day(8 hr shifts remember). There's your unemployment solved, in one hit(we'll just increase the tax to pay for it).
    PROBLEM SOLVED.:p

    lol goold call

But you know what he means.

Take half the cops off of the over populated traffic deuty and you have more cops to follow up "REAL CRIMES".

but the cops are just like Dog catchers taking dogs to a pound with no fences/gates

ie, the dogs just walk away scott free.

So yeah, where's the incentive for the cops to do the job they took thinking they could make a diference.

    Must be pretty disheartening.

Would be like me slaving at work to create a nice new website and video etc, and everyone to look and say "good work mate....nice... but... we're not going to use it."

    You'd kind of give up.

So what DO we do? Throw these kids into "crime school"...erm i mean "jail"?

    not a good idea either.

So I personally think we go back to basics.

Smack a dog on the nose and it learns not to pee on the carpet.

Fact is you see LESS crime in places where crims have thier hands cut off, or are whipped in public.

    Harsh? Yes... but fk em.

The fact is MOST people are "good", so we have NO reason to fear those that are bad. Fact is, they are massivly out numbered.

And that my friends makes them loosers.

    Totally agree.
The Police have their hands tried behind their backs by the Courts(and the do-gooders who rabbit on about Civil Rights).
As far as I'm concerned, once you infringe on a law abiding individuals right to a peaceful existence, then you forfeit any entitlement you may have had to those same rights.
