brightening gauge cluster

would changing the bulbs behind the cluster be the best way to brighten up my tt dash? it currently looks dull and off white. i just installed gauge rings and thought it would be ideal to change the bulbs while i had the cluster out.

 

Sure, get some cluster LEDs. Blue, Red or super white.
Search the forum andyou will find some pictures of people who have done exactly that.
Another way is to get EL inserts, they look shmik.

so can i pick these bright LED's from places like 'dicksmith' or do i have to go else where more specialised?
