So this is really for anyone in Tassie after this bar, as it will save you the cost of shipping. I am having an insurance job done on my Zed after hitting some wallabys. The bodyworks shop went ahead and ordered the standard front bar even though i specifically said that i wanted an aftermarket bar. Bloke from the bodyworks shop says nissan will not take it back, so i thought i'd try and make the situation easier to deal with by offering it for sale here on his behalf. The bar cost something like $1050 from nissan. It is for sale for $1000 for a local pick up. This is in Devonport Tasmania. I believe Nissan's stocks of these bars is running low so this may be a good oppertunity to get one of the last few genuine bars.
I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone after a stock bar for that price when genuine 2k urethane bars with indicators AND postage would probably cheaper.
yeah thats pobably true but this is obviously for someone who is specifically after the standard bar, not everyone likes the later model look.
What is this! i didn't put a for sale post up for idiots to try to make the sale impossible. Especially when the facts aren't even straight! The bar from Z1 means it will have to come from the USA, and by the time you include postage and taxes etc the price would become at the very least $1000, plus the hastle. And sure anyone can get a cheap second hand bar. The point is that this bar cost more than $1000 genuine brand new from Nissan, and i'm not trying to rip anyone off here! if there is a buyer who wants to get a brand new genuine bar, then this would be a good deal for them.
No ones trying to destroy your FS thread mate, just saying that if you are serious about selling this item you might wanna reconsider your price. I believe Romonski's z1 quote is inclusive of post given that a front bar from them without postage is $500US - bear in mind that the exchange rate is decent these days (0.91)
Regardless of where and what type of bar you can get cheaper, the fact is it was purchased from nissan at a rip off price. So if you want it your going to need to pay through your teeth for it. lol Was the bar included in the insrance quote? So i understand your getting an aftermarket one fitted instead right? So you can do whatever you like with this one as its yours now and you pocket the money. But as mentioned def not worth it conisdering all the other options out there....
This would be correct i have taken everything into consideration. He just cant handle the fact that he got ripped badly.
i brought a brand new one for $260 from nissan direct. last one they had. too bad i wrapped the zed around a pole and destroyed it. think u'll be hard pressed selling but good luck mate.
So yes i was peeved off with the whole situation the other day and the unnecissary comments of those members tipped me over the edge. I believe the price is the way it is because Nissan got it shipped from Japan, considering it took almost a month to arrive. Anyway, it appears there is not much i can do about the situation now, so i have opted to have the bodyworks place spray it and install it. But... i will say it is still for sale, but now for $650 ono. sprayed the standard 300ZX charcoal/gunmetal grey colour. Also with the stone gaurd / orange peel affect removed from the bottom lip.
