    Hey guys,

Just thought Id share this information with all the rest of you zedders. I have been having constant brake failure on my ZED when only driving really hard, especially at high speeds and constant braking. After much research, I have found that the Zed's had a failure in their braking system, which was heating and insufficient brakes. I eventually ended up getting a 13"inch brake system for the front only. The back brakes are said to be fine as the front one's are the ones that tend to fail due to the smaller diameter of the brake rotor. Just to let you guys know that the normal upgrade that people do is to put the Skyline R33 calipers and the rotors in or put the R32 rotors and callipers. I have been blessed with a set of R34 system which had only done 5,000kms and just got it from Japan, but there's a small problem when installing. The bolts on the R34 system are much bigger due to the extra size of the callipers, so a small modification has to be made on it, but once it was done to my car, MAN, I kid you not, the brakes on my car are owesome. Couldn't ask for anything more. They hold so well when the stepping on the brake pedal. I would suggest this to anyone who's looking to upgrade their brakes. They are the bigger version to the existing callipers. I would recommend this to anyone provided you can get hold of the front system from an R34. Please NOTE. In order to do this, you have to have minimum 17"inch rims on your car as the entire brake covers the inside of the rim and a smaller rim would hit the callipers.

Where have you been for the past 4 years, on another planet?

There have been countless posts about brake upgrades on this forum (and info in the Tech Section). I'm using the 340mm (13.38") rotor upgrade with stock calipers, from UAS, and they work fine. Can't imagine why your NA is so hard on brakes.
Did you hear about the discovery of a large continent in the southern hemisphere, they're calling it Terra Australis?:p:LOL::LOL::zlove:

    Define brake failure?

"I have found that the Zed's had a failure in their braking system, which was heating and insufficient brakes."

There is no failure in the braking system - its simple physics the zed is a big heavy mass. The brakes are sufficient if used effectively. Think about the Mark IV Supra - that was just a big car but had 2 piston calipers on the front and single piston calipers on the rear!

Just wondering if you also have a brake master cylinder brace installed; they're worth their weight in gold ...and then some!!!
