Driving the car slow in the drive way i push the brakes in firmly, but i notice a noise liek air leaking or some sort of air escaping, do i need to maybe get the brakes bleed? or might i be up for something bigger? I need this sorted before the track day at sand down. I may get Chilli's brace also before then just for extra assurance. Hope to hear your responces :zlove:
Anyways, i read that dont really want this thread to get involved with that side of the tracks...any idea what the problem may be?
it was a joke chad has no intentions of making them for anyone and never did Lloyd,he did it for his own personal use :bash:
no dramas ,just the way i wrote it,i was thinking you may have thought i was serious and i dont want to be speared by a kebab next time im there :zlove:
Went to a brake place today, all is well with the master and booster. Seems i may have really shait pads on though due to the fact they don't work when heated up, and the fluid is old thus not workgin properly. Wanted to sting me with $370 for: Brakes Bleed and Flushed with Standards Dot 4 Fluid Rotors Lightly Machined Some Brand Called WRT Brakes Pads (or something to that tone) apparently they create a fair bit of dust but pull up well. Any recommendations? Im off to the tech section now to see if their is a walk thru on bleeding the brakes.
and the air leak you are hearing ???? One person pumps the brake pedal, then holds. The other opens & closes the nipple using a 10mm wrench with the bleeding hose attached to the nipple (8.). Repeat this 3-4 times each corner until the fluid runs clean & has NO bubbles in it. Then go to the next caliper in order. Left rear, right front, left front, right rear, ABS actuator front, ABS actuator rear. Repeat this order until all four corners are clean & air free. Even the tiniest bubble will harm performance, as it will expand when heated. The ABS actuator is under the plastic hump behind the passenger seat.
So what do people think about the price i was quoted? or should i give it all ago myself to cut out the labor charge>?
