Bendix Ultimates; under $100 for a set.

Good street pad and very occassional light track pad.Much better than EBC greens (and cheaper too).

I am running Lucas in the front now...

used to run Ultimates but these are cheaper and have a higher heat rating....cost about $80 for front set. And as for performance, I can't tell any difference between them and the Bendix.

    Do they squeal at all........

I have Ultimates and they squeal a lot since I put 324mm rotors (dba slotted club 4000 series) on the front. Was gonna use street Kevlars to get rid of the singing and JP at UAS said the Lucas ones might be worth a try. Any feedback would be appreciated.Cheers

    Yep just fitted ULTIMATES ....

... and love 'em! Together with Chili's BMC brace I now have superb braking ... very happy!

    Get some exhaust manifold gasket>

material, and cut out four shims (using a disc pad back plate for a template) fit them behind your pads and that should quieten them down.Worked for mine:YD :YD :YD

Yes Kalus we have been checking out Lucas pads and they seem to be good from what I hear and read. Have not tried in a car yet but I bet they are better than anything DBA make.

    You can't feel the difference?

Are you serious?Although your Lucas pads cost more than mine did.I felt the difference straight away when putting Ultimates in after the Lucas pads. Also; if we're talking the same pads then I seriously disagree with you and heat tolerance.

    CRC Make a product

called Disc Beake Quiet, cost about $15 for a life supply of the stuff. Basically is a silicon compound you apply to the back of the pads and pistions. The squeel you hear is actually small vibrations between your pads and the calapers not as you would expecet the Disc and Pad.My 2 centsAnthony

The Lucas have a higher heat rating but this is not an absolute.
