Hi, * the brake paddle get really hard, cant push it in at all (while driving) * i took it to the mechanic and they said "it might be the brake booster playing up" * this problem comes and goes quite a few times now * would anyone know what cause the problem ? * thanks for helping!
It's really easy to "pump up" the brake pedal when the engine is off, but when it's running, almost impossible. Check all the vacuum lines associated with the brake booster to see if you have a vacuum leak. If there is a leak, this would cause the pedal to firm up to the extent that it becomes difficult to depress.
