Anyone got a set of zed (any legal size) rims with enough tread to go over the pits here in WA? With compliance and servicing costs really don't want to outlay another few hundred for tyres i'll never use again as a set of 18"'s await the zed once it passes the pits.

Another side thought, any recomendations of which pits are 'best', read lenient, in the metro WA area.

From what I have heard Midland is good not to strict.

    Be careful

I was able to borrow a set of wheels from place in wangara for a small fee - where i got my compliance work done.

Recommend not to go to Warwick - meant to be bastards.
East Perth should be ok, although mine didn't pass first time.

O'connor second time - easy as to get thru.

If u don't have the correctly DOT rated tyres and u have an accident - u can't claim on insurance, they won't pay out - a risk u take.

Why not get your 18's then take it over the Pits

I had mine over 2 weeks ago and had no problems at all with 18's 235 front and 265 rears.

I went to East Perth pits!

Fit the 18's and save a lot of stuffing around. Just make sure your tyre placard is correct for the 18's.

    Cheers ;)

Thanks for the advice, took it to midland

After not being able to pass me due to them not being able to read my engine number and a missing vin number plate (apparently you need all 17 digits on a plate) they sent me to rotomotion, $20 later and a visit to a BP mechanic to clean the block i got the all clear. Good friendly blokes :)
