The material is a very high quality, peroxide cured silicone for maximum heat resistance and the colour perfectly matches the SFS Hoses that some members may have on their turbo hard pipes. yeap um up for some... i gather you already have the hose and you just send out the quantities??? how much would you recommend to do all the vac lines, etc??
im interested..however can NA's have them?? and how much would i need?? and also is it hard to change them??
Is the 6mm suitable for use to replace the small coolant hose around the underneath of the plenum, back of engine etc? Are these 6mm or 8mm? Is 8mm available?
Some answers Thanks for all your interest. I will e-mail payment details to those that have replied over the weekend. As per member's suggestions it is possible to swap out about 5-6 metres of 4mm hose and 4-5 metres of 6mm hose. These figures are for TTs. I am unsure on the exact lengths for NAs. Can anyone assist on this?? In the photos I have replaced 4 metres of 4mm hose and only 2 metres of 6mm hose. I am endeavouring to swap out the rest over the weekend. Installation is simple. Just pull out your crusty 15 year old hose and cut the same length of flexible silicone hose and replace. Some of the hoses run from within the front bar: you can either find where they start (such as on the carbon canister) or you can put in a plastic connector and cut the old hose and join into it. The joins can be found at SuperCheap. This hose is to replace your stock black vacuum hoses. It is not suitable for coolant hoses, including under plenum bypass hoses. For these I'd suggest some 8mm standard fuel hose or similar. I have the hose in my garage and ready to share with forum members (you can see the rolls in the background of some of the photos). can you provde total lengths needed once you are don I would love to replace all the vaccume tubing but dont know how much I will need once you have done all of yours lemme know what you needed and round up so I have some left over.
Did anyone work out how much of each we needed? I have no idea, but I dont want to buy too much. :wacko: Stuff it I will have 10 metres of each. If there is some over I will put it in the for sale section. No point being scungy now after all the money i spent on this project.:thumbsup:
There's been loads of interest Much more than I expected. Vacuum hose stocks are almost sold out. You'll have to e-mail me quick to secure some. Mitch_zx: The hard pipes are from UAS and I got them chrome plated. Yes, the kit came with the SFS silicone hose joins and proper clamps.
Hose orders have now exceeded my stocks I am contacting each member individually regarding payment and supply. Those that have ordered and I am unable to currently supply will be added to my list for a future production run. Judging by it's success I'll complete a red hose run before Christmas.
