Its time for me to sell my Zed and the collection of bits I've collected for it over the years. Originally bought this from a forum member in QLD in 2008, brought to NSW and registered.

Overall condition is OK for age. Some panels have been resprayed to get rid of some scratches, but needs a cut and polish to finish off
Engine was rebuilt in 2009 at around 198K (more details below)

    • Engine Rebuilt (Block decked and honed, replaced bearings and rings. Head reconditioned, replaced valve stem seals. ARP head and rod bolts. Cometic metal head gasket. New timing belt and pulleys. Replaced VTC springs and seals. Replaced oil pump.)
    • ERG Bypass
    • NISMO Oil Cooler
    • NISMO 740cc injectors
    • NISMO FPR
    • 300Degree Fuel Rail
    • New OEM TT Fuel Pump
    • Apexi Power Intake Pod
    • AMS Manifolds
    • JapTek SMIC, silicone intake piping
    • Z1 Motorsports GT600R Turbo kit
    • Alloy Toyz 3" split dumps
    • Stainless Steel mandrel bend exhaust (3"/2.5") (100 cpsi Ballistic Racing Cats, UAS Stainless X muffler, 14807 MagnaFlow Mufflers)
    • New engine wiring harness
    • S2 PTU
    • Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller
    • Nistune ECU Chip
    • Reconditioned Gearbox
    • Exedy HD Clutch with Nismo Clutch Pivot

    • RDA 324mm slotted rotors (front)
    • RDA 908 slotted rotors (rear)
    • CAZ020 big brake 324mm adaptor
    • Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake lines
    • Replaced e-brake cable
    • 17" Rims (unsure what brand) (Front: 235/45) (Rear: 265/40)

Also included in this sale is the contents of most of my z-shed. This includes:
    • Bits left over after the rebuild. Including the original OEM Turbos, Dumps, manifolds, radiator, side mount intercoolers, fuel rail
    • Bits and pieces from a parts engine lot I bought from eBay. This engine came to me in parts. This lot includes: NA Block, NA Pistons, Crank, 2x NA Heads in a disassembled state, 2x TT heads in a disassembled state)

I've never dynoed the car, so not sure what it makes and won't make any claims. Most of the work was done myself (it was my project car, something for fun) with the rest done by NRG Automotive (exhaust and some servicing), Reconditioning

Services (Engine work), Torque Automotive (Gearbox). Price is listed above as an asking price, PM me if you have any questions, or would like to make an offer.

    Thanks,
    Anthony

With all of that engine work I would expect 300+rwkw however the car would need to be tuned again after the rebuild ? Was that not done ?

I have a Nistune software licence and a USB consult cable which was used to give it a modest road tune. Never got around to giving it a proper dyno tyne.

USB consult cable will come with the car

Can believe this hasn't been sold yet, someone is getting a BARGIN, the engine work alone is worth a LOT, I did a similar build, MATES rates was looking at 9k for labour with me suppling the parts above, this is on top of what a normal good conditioned zed is worth.... 8k is unbelievable....

Hi mate, can you confirm when all the mods were done (was it when rebuild was done? Or have things been added gradually?) what had already been done when you bought the car? Do you have receipts for the work done? Also there appears to be two Apexi units on the dash, the AVC-R, is the other an AFC?

    Cheers,
    Scott

For me, the whole point of the exercise is what I wanted to experience an engine rebuild, and probably went a little overboard with the replacement parts :) I know I'd never recoup what I spent on it, that was never the point of the exercise. I originally bought the car off the forum, so I would very much like if it went on to someone else who is a forum member, and will enjoy it. I'm not going to lie, there are probably cars in better condition, but it definitely is in a good state for someone to take it further if they choose, or just enjoy it how it is now.

To answer a couple of questions people might have:
    • Except for a short period of time, this car was always a weekend car. I commute to work, and owned another small hatch back and a bike, which would explain why its only done so few KMs. I've never tracked it or otherwise drove it in anger, except for some spirited Putty Runs :)
    • Reason for selling: My life has changed quite rapidly in the last few months, which has meant I've no longer had time to spend on the car. Added to that, I'm now moving house, which means I definitely don't have room to keep it any more.

    Hey Scott,
I replied you through PM, but putting the response here incase anyone else would like to know

    To answer your questions:
    • All major rebuild work (except the brakes and the steering rack) was done mid 2009 when I did the engine pull. The brakes and brake lines were done approximately 6 months after (around the start of 2010). Steering Rack was done late 2011.
    • When I got the car, it was basically (mechanically) stock, except for a 3" exhaust that had to be replaced (mufflers were collapsed), and the 17" alloys. It came with the rear spoiler and the smoked NISMO side indicators.
    • I have receipts for the mechanical work I had done, the gearbox work, and some invoices for the parts I bought (supplied by Caz, Czp, AMS Auto). If anyone would like to see them please PM me.
    • The other Apexi unit is an RSM with G-sensor

    Thanks for looking

    Cheers,
    Anthony
